Gift of Feedback

Reframe feedback as a catalyst for growth, not criticism.

Gift of Feedback

Objective

To help individuals shift their mindset around feedback-seeing it as an opportunity for growth rather than a threat-so they can receive and use it constructively.

Problem Statement

Many people experience feedback as personal criticism, triggering defensiveness, self-doubt, or avoidance. This limits their learning and professional development.

Solution Provided

This short, engaging video helps reframe feedback as a valuable gift rather than a personal attack. Through relatable storytelling and behavioral insights, the video encourages a mindset of curiosity and growth, making it easier to absorb and act on feedback.

The Science

The tool draws on key insights from growth mindset research (Dweck, 2006), psychological safety (Edmondson, 1999), and cognitive reframing techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Reframing feedback reduces threat perception in the brain and fosters openness, which improves learning and adaptability.
