Relaxing Raga

Let the flute carry your fatigue away.

Relaxing Raga

Objective

To soothe mental and physical fatigue through the calming tones of a traditional Hindustani raga played on the flute.

Problem Statement

When you’re fatigued-mentally, emotionally, or physically-it becomes difficult to recharge, focus, or find ease in the moment.

Solution Provided

Relaxing Raga uses a slow, expressive alapana (melodic improvisation) in Raag Bageshri to create a peaceful auditory space, allowing the mind and body to naturally unwind and restore.

The Science

Music in slow tempos, especially classical ragas like Bageshri, has been shown to reduce heart rate, lower cortisol, and activate parasympathetic responses. Indian classical music engages the limbic system, enhancing emotional regulation and promoting deep relaxation.
